Join us in empowering Mainline students to build their dreams.

Every summer, we host an event where students from all over the Mainline are actively coding. Students learn how to code with mentors and workshops, and get to build apps around the year's given theme.

Scratch is a free visual programming language and online community used by millions of children around the world.

Python is a widely used high-level programming language for general-purpose programming, created by Guido van Rossum and first released in 1991.

HTML (the Hypertext Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) are two of the core technologies for building Web pages.

What is coding?

Coding is what makes it possible for us to create computer software, apps and websites. Your browser, your OS, the apps on your phone, Facebook, and this website – they're all made with code.

Who can come?

CS4 Mainline applications are open to any elementary & middle school student, from all over the Mainline :)

What if I don’t know how to code?

Our summer program is the perfect time and place to learn. We provide code “starter packs,” as well as great workshops and mentors to help you build something you can be proud of by the end of the summer.

What if I don’t have a team or idea for an app?

Not a problem! We’ve been working on some great team-forming activities to help you find teammates, and many students work up great ideas with us!

What should I bring?

All you need is a signed code of conduct and a laptop. We provide the rest!

What can I build?

Anything your heart desires! Hardware, web, mobile, gaming; you name it, we’ll support it.

What about hardware?

We’ll have a hardware lounge with plenty of boards, tools, and gadgets for you to check out!

What does it cost?

CS4 Mainline is free for all accepted students. We provide workshops, mentors, workspace, and WiFi for the summer for all coders.

What is the CS4 Mainline code of conduct?

You can read it here.

I have some other question!

Email us at cs4mainline@gmail.com. We gotchu.
